SF Pride Presents “A Night of Queer Entertainment" 2023 Kick-Off Fundraiser at the Iconic Castro Theatre
San Francisco, CA - May 30, 2023- SF Pride, the leading organization dedicated to promoting LGBTQ+ rights and celebrating the vibrant queer community, is thrilled to announce a spectacular fundraising event, "SF Pride 2023 Kick-Off: A Night of Queer Entertainment," taking place on June 2nd at the iconic Castro Theatre. This unforgettable evening promises an extraordinary lineup of Bay Area legends of drag, theatre, music, and film.
“The SF Pride Parade & Celebration theme this year is ‘Looking back and moving forward,’ so the evening of fundraising festivities aims to commemorate the past while embracing the present and future,” said Suzanne Ford, Executive Director of SF Pride. “We are excited to celebrate our milestones, while reflecting on the lessons and triumphs of our LGBTQ+ pioneers and honoring our social justice warriors of today and tomorrow. “
The entertaining lineup includes the renowned play "The Compton's Cafeteria Riot," the film "Mrs. Vera's Daybook," "The Girl From 7th Avenue," and performances by DJs, dancers, and local legends showcasing the unique talent of our community.
Wine is generously provided by SF Pride partner, Menage a Trois and Another Planet Entertainment is facilitating the use of the world-renowned Castro Theatre as the venue for this remarkable event.

Tickets will be available at the door, and a suggested donation of $20 will support SF Pride's invaluable work in advancing LGBTQ+ rights and fostering a more inclusive society.
